Blackwing
A Blackwing Pencil is not just any pencil, it is an experience. The world’s most famous pencil is made in Japan from genuine Incense Cedar and is available in three iconic models; the Blackwing, Blackwing 602 and Blackwing Pearl.
Historically, the Blackwing Pencil was made by Eberhard-Faber up until the 1980s and it had been the favoured tool of many artists and writers – John Steinbeck, Frank Lloyd Wright, Todd Field, Leonard Bernstein – and others among them. After the company stopped making the pencils, demand continued unabated and sets were selling online for hundreds of dollars. The Blackwing series were brought brought back to life by Palomino and are considered to be better than ever.
Every Blackwing features a special graphite formulation lead which gives a writing or sketching experience that is surely the world’s best.
The Blackwing is incredibly smooth and velvety and it writes a dark black line of unmistakable quality. It is long, sleek and elegant in design with a beautiful gold coloured ferrule and rectangular eraser. The accessories available to support the Blackwing ensure the greatest writing experience, and longevity, of the instrument.
