Boston Slab Socks – Red Brick
Wool and cotton are combined to create these classic ribbed weave socks. With a casual, vintage look, their comfort increases with wear.
These rib-patterned socks are created with wool and cotton that are gently twisted into slab-style weaving – this style of weaving gives these socks a casual look, and the gently intertwined yarn envelops your feet with softness and warmth. The vintage look and comfort maximise with wear. Wool and cotton absorb the dye at different time frames. We like the variance of tones created by the dyeing process as it adds to this casual and playful look.

The history of this Japanese sock brand began in 1950 just after World War II. Katsuji Nishiguchi founded the company with a single hand-operating knitting machine in Katsuragi, Nara prefecture. The brand continued to develop under succession and is currently operating under third-generation director Isato Nishiguchi. Today, Nishiguchi Kutsushita has evolved and expanded into a sock manufacturing company housing over 130 knitting machines. Their main team of professionals consists of veterans with over 50 years of experience.
The brand's catchphrase "Hakuhito omoi" conveys a deep consideration for the people who purchase and enjoy the brand's products. Everything, including the materials, designs, knitting methods and prices is thoroughly vetted. By demonstrating a commitment to high-quality natural materials and combining new and old technologies and decades of experience, Nishiguchi Kutsushita creates true timeless classics of incomparable quality and aesthetic distinction.
Every person involved with Nishiguchi Kutsushita has dedicated their mind and soul to create their line, "Sock Heart". They are passionate about the concept, "making your day extraordinary".
