    Maker Profile

    Raplapla

Erica, a trained fashion designer, ventured into making fabric toys after experiencing the challenges of having a child deeply attached to a stuffed animal. Losing her job in 2005, she seized the opportunity to create the very first Raplapla doll named Eglantine. The success of the doll, spurred by her daughter Fé's fierce attachment, led to the birth of Raplapla.

With a charming boutique in the Mile-End, the team continues to craft these beloved dolls alongside other unique items. As the business grew, Erica enlisted the help of Dominique, Lili, and Marie-Hélène in the workshop, with Natalia supporting during the high season. This incredible team allows Erica to dream up new ideas while also tending to the Toy Hospital, which provides care for ailing or worn-out soft toys.
