Nicola Shuttleworth is a Whanganui-a-tara based potter working from her studio in Island Bay. A practice of twenty years making functional ware to hold and to use.

She believes in living daily life with handmade objects that enrich experiences with friends and family.

Nicola produces stacks, groups and individual pieces using similar forms with warm, natural coloured glazes. Her work is influenced by the early New Zealand studio potters and she works with a variety of New Zealand stoneware clay, blending wild clay and making my her own glazes.
