Shoe soles spend their working lives gripping. Pidät's doorstop is made of them – ground up, remixed, pressed into a low cone – a material perfect for the job.

No wrong way: nudge it under the door, whichever way round, and it wedges. The rope handle saves your back, and hangs on the doorknob when needed off the floor for the monthly mop.

Pebble Grey is a soft mid-grey, flecked through with the soles it came from.

CARE + USE

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Suits hard floors and low-pile carpet; on very deep pile the cone has less to bite into. Hang it from the doorknob by the rope when not in use.

The doorstop comes apart – rope and rubber separate for recycling at the end of its life.
